by One Ocean Foundation and CMRE
also aims to raise public awareness
of the impact generated by human
activities in the open sea on the life and
behavior of cetaceans, educating on
the importance of adopting responsible
behavior. For this reason, the research
project will be integrated with a series
of educational and communication
activities dedicated to high school
students and to society in general. The
research will take place starting from
October 2020 until the end of 2021;
the results will be peer reviewed by the
scientific community and published in
specialized journals. This partnership
confirms the growing commitment of
One Ocean Foundation also in scientific
research at international level, with
the support of particularly advanced
technologies prepared by the NATO-
CMRE STO research center, as well as the
knowledge in the field of underwater
acoustics in 60 years of activity. already
carried out.
